Not Rocket Science

I had a meeting with my thesis advisor today.

I think overall I'm making okay progress so far; though I still have lots to do, I am relatively confident that I will finish, and the thesis should be at a decent level.

Onto discussing the paper that I am referencing to with Shachar, I pointed out how a payoff matrix seemed to be reverse engineered...

Here's Shachar's response: "haha...yes....it's a good thing that economists aren't designing airplanes otherwise planes would be falling out of skies"

特別的一個人

For a very special person who will always laugh to no end with me:

Question...what kind of bear is best?

It's a ridiculous question...

False, black bear

That's debatable, there are basically two schools of thought...

FACT: Bears eat beets, Bears beat Battlestar Galactica

Bear do not...WHAT is going on!? What are you doing!?!?!

Make a Donation Today to End Alzheimer's

Key statistics associated with Alzheimer's Disease:

-- There are more than 5 MILLION people in the United States living with Alzheimer's

-- Every 72 seconds, someone develops Alzheimer's

-- The direct and indirect costs of Alzheimer's and other dementias amount to more than $148 BILLION annually

Golden Key International Honour Society, which I am involved with, is forming a team to participate in Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk 2007. Alzheimer's Association is the world leader in Alzheimer's research, care, and support. Through Memory Walk 2007 on October 6th, 2007 at Treasure Island, we are hoping to fundraise for finding prevention methods, treatments, and an eventual cure for the disease.

Collectively through the Treasure Island Event this year, Alzheimer's Association had set a goal of $1 million. My personal fundraising goal is $500.

I am certain that we don't need to have Alzheimer's to understand the devastating effects of this horrible disease. Any contributions that you can make, 20 dollar, 10 dollar, 5 dollar, or even 1 dollars would make a dramatic difference in advancing Alzheimer's research.

Follow this link if you can make a contribution!

As an extra incentive to all of my friends on Facebook, I will treat whoever contribute the most to dinner at La Note Restaurant in Berkeley. (Now...this is a game theory problem that I can solve for Nash Equilibrium and figure out the contributing amount...hahah...ok I won't solve for the Nash Eqm...I promise).

Any contributions you make will help us find a cure to Alzheimer's with my most sincere gratitude.

Thank you guys very much for taking the time to read my shameless pitch. I really appreciate it!
